Eindhoven-based deeptech company Keiron Printing Technologies has closed a Series A round worth €20.7 million. The company plans to use the capital to further develop its digital assembly technology for printed circuit boards and prepare it for wider deployment.

The investors involved

The round is led by Invest-NL, which is contributing €6.9 million and acting as lead investor alongside DeepTechXL and Waves Capital. In addition, Ramphastos, TNO Ventures, ATUM Ventures and Cottonwood are taking part in the financing. The broad line-up of backers points to confidence in the company's technological approach.

Digital assembly of circuit boards

Keiron focuses on a digital way of placing components onto printed circuit boards. Whereas traditional assembly often relies on fixed masks and multi-step production processes, the company aims to offer a more flexible and direct alternative. This makes it easier to produce smaller batches and switch quickly between designs, without having to build new hardware each time.

Relevance for manufacturing

A digital approach can be attractive for the electronics and manufacturing sector. Producers gain more room to adapt designs quickly, create prototypes and serve specialised applications. The technology also fits the broader shift towards more flexible and efficient production in Europe, where strengthening the region's own electronics supply chain is high on the agenda.

With the new funding, Keiron can invest in refining its systems, expanding its team and scaling towards industrial use. The company positions itself as a player looking to modernise circuit board assembly and make it more accessible to a wide range of customers.
