Cellro has introduced the Xcelerate X60 Next Gen, a new generation of modular CNC automation aimed at machining companies. The concept is straightforward: start small and expand the system as demand increases. This means a company does not have to commit to a large investment up front in order to stay flexible later on.

Scalable without wasted investment

The system is built from modules that can be added over time. These include extra storage capacity for workpieces, a second CNC machine or additional processing modules. Crucially, earlier investments are preserved: existing components become part of the expanding installation rather than being replaced.

For the manufacturing industry this is a meaningful advantage. Many subcontractors and machine builders deal with fluctuating order books and prefer not to over-size their automation. A setup that grows in line with production volume fits that reality and lowers the barrier to getting started.

Addressing a tight labour market

Demand for flexible automation is partly driven by the ongoing shortage of skilled workers. Running CNC machines unattended for longer periods allows companies to make better use of their capacity without hiring extra staff. Automating the loading and unloading of workpieces makes unmanned night and weekend production possible.

  • Compact entry point with room to scale up later

  • Expandable with storage, an extra machine or processing modules

  • Retention of previous investments

  • Support for unmanned production hours

With the Xcelerate X60 Next Gen, Cellro is targeting machining companies that want to automate while keeping their financial risk in check. The modular approach lets them develop their automation at the pace of their own growth.
