Chubb Fire & Security has been working with Acto for more than 20 years. What started as a smart software choice has grown into a partnership built on trust, expertise and continuous improvement. The latest milestone? A complete move to the cloud. “Acto understands how our world works,” says Peter van Wijk of Chubb Fire & Security. “They come from the installation world. You can feel it in everything they do: they think along with you, not against you.” And that is exactly what Chubb needed.

As a specialist in intruder alarms, access control, fire suppression and video surveillance, the demands are high. Especially when it comes to digital systems that always have to work. Not just any supplier The collaboration with Acto originally began because of their knowledge of the installation industry. But by now that collaboration is much more than simply purchasing software. “When we started with Acto, the service module wasn’t quite what we needed yet,” Van Wijk recalls. “We wanted more control over the deployment of our engineers.” Acto listened. No empty promises, but concrete improvements. Step by step the service module became smarter and more efficient. The result? Higher productivity, greater overview and less hassle. The leap to Azure One of the most recent steps in the collaboration was anything but small.

Chubb decided to move all Acto servers to the cloud – and chose Microsoft Azure. “We prepared the project thoroughly together with Acto,” says Van Wijk. “From testing to data migration, everything had to be right. And it was.” With the switch, Chubb is completely free of physical servers and local maintenance. Everything now runs securely, scalably and future-proof in the cloud. Building together with other customers What makes Acto unique is that it doesn’t stop at one-on-one contact. Customers like Chubb work together in so-called expert groups. There, new requirements and improvements are shared. “Together with other customers we determine where the focus should lie,” says Van Wijk. “That way Acto keeps developing based on what we really need.” This collaborative approach ensures the software never stands still. And that everyone benefits. Twenty years of trust and far from finished Chubb Fire & Security and Acto have by now become a well-oiled machine.

With mutual trust as the foundation and the drive to keep improving. From the first installation years to the leap to the cloud – the collaboration has proven itself time and again. Or, as Peter van Wijk himself puts it: “Acto doesn’t just build software, they help build our company.”
